Over the years, I’ve been sharing more and more word searches for different holidays and occasions. But somehow I hadn’t shared an Easter one yet. Since I’ve been on an Easter kick this year, it’s time. In the past, I’ve stuck to mostly easier word searches but I had a couple of readers ask me for a harder version, so I’ve incorporated that into this post as well! So whether you’re looking for an easy word search, a difficult one, or don’t really care as long as it’s a free printable – I’ve got you covered! Print these out to do along with this Easter i-spy and these Easter coloring pages for an eggtravagant amount of Easter fun! You could even create a section full of printable Easter activities to do while people are waiting for their turn to do Easter egg hunts or play more of these active Easter games! Just don’t forget to set out some Easter treats like these flower cookies while they’re waiting!
Two Easter Word Searches
Like I mentioned, I created two different Easter word searches this go around – one that’s a littler easier and one that is more challenging. They both have the same list of words and the same amount of words to find (20) but the search portion itself has a lot more letters to search through in the more difficult version, making it – you guess it, more difficult! Print out one per person and let people search at their own pace – it’s not a race after all! The fun is seeing if you can find them all without any help! Just like with any regular word search, when you find a word in the mass of jumbled letters at the top, circle (or highlight) it and cross it out at the bottom. This will help you keep track of the words that you’ve already found! And if for some reason no one participating can find a word, I’ve included answer keys for both of the Easter word searches with the PDF download. That way you can always help out if you have a student, a child, or even an adult that needs a little hint.
Expert Tips
Laminate the word searches. Then use dry erase markers to circle and cross things out. Wipe them off when you’re done and add to a box full of Easter activities to bring out again next year. I can guarantee no one is going to remember where the word bunny was a year later! Keep the answer key handy in case someone needs a hint. My favorite way to give a hint is to just indicate which section of the puzzle it’s in!
