The mascara recently went viral on TikTok after user @kellyrosesarno, uploaded a video where she says she’s tested 100 mascaras, and proceeds to share her 10 least and most favorite products — the number one being the Benefit mascara. The video has gathered over 3 million views, which then propelled her to do a solo video on the products and encouraged other TikTok users to check it out. I had previously tested (and loved) this mascara back when it launched in 2018, and after seeing multiple TikTok videos showcasing people achieving sky-high lashes, I was motivated to try it again. The first and most obvious thing I noticed about the formula was how long it made my lashes look after just one coat. The wand is really thin and flexible, which makes it easy to reach the inner and outer corners of your lashes, and since it has 360 bristles, it grabs every single one. Upon applying the second coat, I was pleased that the formula hadn’t dried yet, therefore making a smooth and easy application that was clump-free. After application, it looked like I had gotten lash extensions. Now, I have dark lashes, but I’ve seen multiple TikTok videos where people with light lash hair apply the Benefit BADgal BANG! Mascara and it’s evident how much black pigment is deposited on each lash after just one coat. Additionally, people with straight lashes have attested to how well this mascara holds a curl. This is thanks to the aero-particles used in the formula, which make it extremely lightweight. In fact, the technology is backed by NASA. After wearing this mascara for a few days, and even working out with it, I was pleased that it never once flaked, transferred, or weighed my lashes down.
