The account spotted boxes of Candy Cane Green Tea at a Trader Joe’s outpost in West Hills, Calif. The decaffeinated beverage, which retails for $2.79 per box and has 20 tea bags inside, boasts notes of peppermint, vanilla, and cinnamon. It’s made with orange peel, blackberry leaves, and roasted chicory, which gives the tea a soothing quality that’s perfect for those frigid winter days and nights. What’s more? Dozens of Instagram users were thrilled to see that this tea is back on Trader Joe’s shelves and vowed to “stock up” for the holiday season ASAP. Not a tea fan? Per @traderjoeslist, the grocery chain has also brought back a popular beverage that’s a tad stronger—the Wintry Blend Ground Coffee. The medium dark roast coffee is “sprinkled with spices” including cinnamon, cloves, and peppercorns, and is described as “smooth, spirited, and lively.” Each 14-ounce can sells for $7.99. Much like the Candy Cane Green Tea, the Wintry Blend Ground Coffee tends to sell out shortly after it makes its annual debut around this time of year. There’s no word yet on whether other seasonal blends, like the Gingerbread Coffee, will return. However, if this is what Trader Joe’s has brought back so far, we can’t wait to see what the rest of the holiday season has in store. While there will undoubtedly be the return of more seasonal favorites (crossing my fingers the Mini Dark Chocolate Mint Stars make a comeback!) there will also be many new holiday items to choose from. We already know TJ’s is slated to release four new pasta varieties in the near future, including tri-color spaghetti, and the chain has launched several new Thanksgiving items over the past several weeks, including Cranberry Orange Bars and Turkey Sausage Stuffing Fried Rice.
